FIVE USEFUL TIPS FOR A WINTER HIKE

FIVE USEFUL TIPS FOR A WINTER HIKE

One should never understimate mountains and that's especially true in winter. The key is to be prepared. Good preparation leads to great adventures, but sometimes it also helps to protect one's health and even life. In spite of harsher conditions and perhaps a heavier backpack, winter hiking can be truly magical and more and more people are starting to realize that.

WHAT TO WEAR FOR WINTER HIKING

With decreasing temperatures, the number of hikers is falling as well. Not everyone is a fan of winter hiking and many times people think that it is just for the most devoted outdoor enthusiasts who don't mind wading through the snow and being outside in freezing temperatures. Cold weather might even be the most commont reason why people rather wait inside till spring. Right clothing, though, will keep you comfortable and safe all day long, even when it's freezing.

REVIEW: BLACK HILL OUTDOOR CLOTHING IN ICELAND

REVIEW: BLACK HILL OUTDOOR CLOTHING IN ICELAND

We have received a very nice review from Michal, our customer, who tested Black Hill Outdoor merino wool trousers and jacket during a 13-day adventure in Iceland. Even those who have never visited this place can probably imagine the tough weather conditions there. We are very happy that our clothing performed well. Big thanks to Michal for allowing us to share his review and pictures and we wish him a plenty of other great adventures!

Yellow Trabants in Kashmir

Yellow Trabants in Kashmir

I have no travel goals. There is no must-see list of countries in my head. There are just places I would like to see one day. It is only after I visit the place when I realize it's fascinating and would like to go back again. The northernmost state of India, Jammu and Kashmir, certainly belongs among these places.  We are planning to do something that probably no-one with legendary Trabant, Polish Fiat and ancient Jawa 250 has ever tried: to pass the dreaded Himalayas in Kashmir and reach the altitude of 5,300 m above sea level on tires.

Expedition: Caucasus 2017

The Caucasus is still a relatively exotic place to most of us, we have just a few romantic images and very little information. That's why we love reading about adventures of travellers, who explored this far-away region. Our friend and customer Marek Kochan fulfilled his dream to conquer Elbrus, the highest peak of the Caucasus and Europe. He sent us an interesting story he kindly allowed to us to share with you as well.
